Betty Salinger was born in Tel Aviv - she studied sculpture at the Artists village of Ein Hod and later studied different techniques at various institutions.
She came to live in Kibbutz Kfar Ruppin in 1977. Everywhere she worked Betty added her artistic abilities, in the kitchen as head cook as the Kfar Ruppin gardener where she developed a style of garden that is both suitable to the area and is very environmentally friendly.
All this led her to using paper as a medium for sculpture. "This medium has captured my heart" Sculpturing with paper gives one endless possibilities
and of course it is environmentally friendly".
"By using old newspapers and other discarded items I turn junk into something that again has value".
I work in my studio that is situated in my house - my door is always open to every visitor, if you want to come and buy or just to look.
Or come and join a class - here the atmosphere is always homely and creative.
